Staying Hydrated
We all know drinking water is important to help flush toxins through, but did you also know it helps with weight loss?
Dehydration can reduce fat loss by inhibiting kidney function, which then demands more on the liver.
Fat is metabolised in the liver so, by putting extra pressure on the liver to blood cleanse, you are preventing the liver from working hard to burn fat and increase the metabolism.
It’s proven that 2 per cent dehydration can reduce cognitive function by up to 30 per cent. When we feel tired, coffee fans reach for coffee for a caffeine hit but unfortunately coffee only makes us more dehydrated preventing further fat loss!
But have you considered where your drinking water is coming from?
Tap water
Now, although this hasn’t been scientifically proven, (but if you ask me it’s common sense), tap water contains a multitude of chemicals, bacteria, hormones, environmental toxins (especially lead from pipework), fungus and pathogens. Therefore, I personally won’t touch the stuff!
So, in order for me to have the convenience of being able to drink water from the tap, I’ve had a great, reasonably-priced filter fitted under my kitchen sink which removes the toxins from tap water. You do need to get a professional to cut a very small hole in your work surface in order to insert the tap, but once this is done, it’s a very quick and easy job for a plumber (or someone hands on) to fit the tap to the water system itself.
Take a look at the ‘Ro-man’ heavy metal removal filter, priced at £80.40 at

The corresponding tap to go with the filter is priced at £12.00 and can be viewed at

How simple is that? You will have a continued source of clean, pure, filtered, gut-friendly water which your body will thank you for.
Just another word of advice, please DON’T be tempted to invest in a reverse osmosis water system. Not only does this process waste a lot of water, the structure of the water is changed resulting in ‘dead’ water with no goodness left in it and which then needs minerals adding to it.
I’ll save the BPA problem in relation to plastic water bottles for another time but very quickly, if you suffer from hormonal problems, you really need to reduce the amount of plastic bottled water you drink. You’ll be doing your bit for the environment, especially our oceans at the same time too.
Before I sign off, please consider having a Ro-man filter fitted and share the love for it. It’s one of the most reasonable, best quality ones around.
Health and Happiness
